Summary:
Do you love helping others? As a job coach/employment specialist, you will be helping our community of clients that need assistance in the workplace.
You will be transporting clients, job coaching, teaching, mentoring and advocating for them as they learn skills for successful employment.
Supports include assisting with pre-employment life skills, interviews, applications and resume creation.
This is a very rewarding position where you will make a difference every single day.
We are looking for someone that can work independently and with little direct supervision.
Someone who effectively manages their time throughout the day and week and is able to work a flexible schedule.
We are looking for someone who is motivated to meet the needs of the clients and employers.
You will need client first mentality! We are looking for someone who is honest, motivated, hardworking, communicative, a problem-solver and has a desire to help others.
We want you for the long haul- w e are asking for a minimum of a one year commitment at the position.
Minimum Qualifications :

Experience working with people with disabilities (ideal)
Must have reliable transportation and and ability to transport clients Ideal
Qualifications:

Experience with mentoring or coaching or teaching
1 year or more experience working with people with disabilities
Responsibilities:

Form a special relationship and bond with your client
Coach clients on basic life and job skills to succeed in workplace
Help them build a resume, teach interview skills and assist with the hiring process
Support clients on the job, providing a variety of support and guidance with their job duties
Work with your client to develop their life and employment skills to lead them towards independence and being their own self-advocate at work and in life
Work closely with employers and worksite co-workers to develop natural supports outside of the job coach
Help clients enhance their strengths and improve their working skills (including knowledge and confidence to succeed in the workplace)
Assist with initial and ongoing job training requirements and retention needs
Assist employer with training clients new skills to be successful and grow in their employment
Advocate for any needed ADA accommodations with the employer
The job coach should be flexible and comfortable with a wide variety of skill sets and client abilities and mannerisms
Assist clients to socially integrate into employment settings and establish internal support structures

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
