We are seeking a Senior Data Warehouse Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Enterprise Data Platforms team.
The Senior Data Warehouse Database Administrator (DBA) will work with IT teams, end user, developers, management, and IT Infrastructure departments.
The Technology Reliability Engineering and Operations organization is a key information technology group supporting our valued internal and external customers.
TREO aligns up through the Chief Technology Officer and provides IT services such as hosting, security operations, application, voice, business intelligence infrastructure, collaboration services, and end user support.
We focus on both operating and innovating our services to ensure continuous efficiency and modernization.

DBA you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of the company databases and guarantee the data is stored securely and efficiently.
You will work with architecture, operations, and security teams to implement and protect Zions data.
You will support several Teradata Vantage databases deployed in the Cloud and other on-premises data warehousing databases.
The Sr.
DBA will also provide strategic guidance and implementation of the corporate data warehouse and the corresponding data needs.
The Senior Data Warehouse Database Administrator will:
Install, design, and maintain database system software and implement database security.
Monitor and analyze database performance and ensure effective and efficient utilization of database systems/processes.
Maintain database dictionaries and support tools; develop and maintain accurate system documentation.
Participate in the development and maintenance of strategic, architectural, and tactical plans for the database and data warehouse environments; be conversant with, and cognizant of, the future direction of systems, how that direction impacts the company and how future and current database systems can be exploited for the company's benefit.
Provide technical leadership on database systems and solutions.
Provide individual mentoring and training on databases and tools.
Evaluate new technologies, software tools, recommend and implement skills sets and improvements.
Implement a Business Continuity solution for the database environment, including the installation and configuration of database software and replication processes.
Set and maintain database standards.
Willing to accept 24/7 support rotation.
Technical Experience and Qualifications 4
or more years of Teradata Administration 4
years of professional experience in Data warehousing Technology 4
years using SQL languages to develop / write complex SQL Queries Experience with ETL tools - Datastage or similar tools (preferred) Development experience with Bash Shell Scripting, Python, UNIX / Linux, RHEL and Ansible (preferred) Network experience (desired) Experience with backup/recovery best practices Extensive experience with query tuning and troubleshooting/debugging Complex Queries Working knowledge of data encryption techniques and database querying and management tools.
Excellent documentation skills including presentation aspects.
Leadership skills involving managing, developing, and motivating team members.
Effective communicator & Active listener with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
Strong analytical skills BS degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience Must be Flexible and agile with work schedule and shifting priorities.

Integration Fabric Greenplum IBM Guardium Data Encryption Cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure, Terraform, Ansible) CI/CD Pipeline Site Reliability Virtualization/Containers A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
Location:
This position is located at the Zions Technology Center (ZTC) in Midvale, UT with a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at ZTC.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
