Key
Responsibilities:
Client Consultation:
o Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
o Gather information about the space to be designed, including its purpose and existing layout.
Space Planning:
o Develop space plans and layouts that optimize the use of space while ensuring functionality and flow.
o Consider factors such as furniture placement, traffic patterns, and accessibility.
Conceptualization and Design:
o Create design concepts, mood boards, and visual presentations to convey the proposed design to clients.
o Select and recommend color schemes, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories that align with the project's goals and budget.
AutoCAD and 3D Modeling:
o Utilize design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit and 3D modeling tools, to create detailed plans, elevations, and 3D visualizations of the design concepts.
Budget Management:
o Develop project budgets and timelines, ensuring they are realistic and achievable.
o Source materials, products, and furnishings within the budget constraints.
Project Coordination:
o Collaborate with architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the design is implemented accurately and on schedule.
o Oversee on-site visits to monitor progress and address any design-related issues that may arise during construction or renovation.
Documentation:
o Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for construction or installation.
o Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Sustainability:
o Stay informed about sustainable design practices and incorporate eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient solutions when possible.
Communication and Presentation:
o Effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to clients and team members.
o Make presentations and pitch design ideas to clients, adjusting plans based on feedback.
Continuing Education:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in interior design or a related field.
Professional interior design certification or licensure (NCIDQ).

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
