Customer Service Representative Part-time

Job Description
The Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District has an opening for a Customer Service Representative to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. We interact with customers one-on-one in the office, or over the phone, to explain District services and polices, and resolve billing concerns or complaints. Receipt payments and update customer accounts in the billing system.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a year of closely related work experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. Preference may be given to candidates with billing experience, or post high-school education in accounting or business fields. Knowledge of general account payables and receivable methodologies, customer service techniques and problem solving, general office procedures and practices. Skill and ability to professionally interact with customers when dealing with payment issues and billing questions; apply District polices and operating procedures, collect data and solve billing problems; learn and use billing software programs, use Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook; effective communicate with the public, customers, supervisors, and co-workers; operate general office equipment, priority tasks effectively, and perform basis math calculations. This position is regularly scheduled for 25 hours a week, and is an hourly position with no benefits.
Starting Pay: $12.87 hourly.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
