Job Description Reports toMedical Services Director JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Medical Services Director the Medication Technician treats and educates patients about various medical conditions and provides advice and emotional support to patients and family members.
The Med Tech records patients medical histories and symptoms helps perform diagnostic tests and analyzes results administers treatment and medications and assists with case followup and rehabilitation.
The Med Tech will be relied upon to provide assistance guidance and support while providing an empathetic and safe environment for our residents in our residential treatment program.

license in the state of Utah Current CPR Certification Preferred year experience working in a residentialbehavioral healthcare setting JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Observe and record patient behavior and provide a safe supportive environment for patients in social detox program.
Supervise patients who selfadministrator medication while following company and regulatory guidelines Medication ordering and receiving in a timely manner.
Process orders for controlled substances Buprenorphine.
Regular review of the patient MARS CSRs Pharmacy Transaction Records and perform audits on a daily basis for incomplete documentation.
Monitor quality and appropriateness of medical care.
Manage physician relations and or representation.
Address emergency issues and collaborate with administratoroncall.
Keep medication files and patient records current and up to date.
Notify Medical Provider Administrator of any medication discrepancies.
Report any significant incidents on the appropriate forms and to the Medical Provider Administrator.
Complete and process medical intake paperwork Coordinate weekly medical visits with Providers for all eligible patients.
Collect routine and scheduled UAs and breathalyze patients in social detox program.
Review UA results for all patients and report results to treatment team.
Administer required TB tests.
Supervise residents to ensure general safety and enforcement of program rules and guidelines.
Complete daily tracking logs and shift reports to communicate effectively with other treatment team members.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Med Tech is expected to understand and implement individual treatment plans.

Strong communication skills in writing and verbally.
Ability to work with patients in a respectful compassionate manner.
Ability to be highly organized and pay great attention to detail Ability to maintain professional and ethical boundaries with residents.
Knowledge of proper dispensing and administration of medications.
Knowledge of regulations concerning the proper disposal of medications.
Knowledge of regulations regarding expired medications.
