Cook (part-time availability)

Under the general direction of the Environmental Services Director the Environmental Services Cook is responsible for the preparation and cooking of meals and the proper cleaning and sanitation of the cook and eating areas.
QUALIFICATIONS Required Valid Drivers License Food Handlers License Preferred year cooking experience working in a residential restaurant or other facility setting.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Preparation and serving of meals and food in accordance with planned menus diet plans and direction.
Cleaning the kitchen and dining room areas Clean cut and cook meat fish or poultry Cook food according to menus special dietary or nutritional restrictions or numbers of portions to be served.
Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality keeping track of old and new items and rotating stock.
Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens broilers grills and roasters and refrigerators.
Clean and inspect galley equipment kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation which includes washing dishes and other eating utensils.
Apportion and serve food to facility patients employees or patrons.
Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Watching gauges dials or other indicators to make sure a machines is working properly Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Knowledge of proper handling preparation and cooking of food Knowledge and ability to safely operate kitchen appliances and equipment Knowledge and ability to properly clean and sanitize dishes utensils food preparation areas and kitchen.
Job Type Parttime.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
