Recovery Support Staff (Swing Shift)

JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Director of Case Management the Life Technician will be directly involved in assisting with our residents in the treatment of mental illness and addiction.
Life Technicians will be relied upon to provide assistance guidance and support while providing an empathetic space for our residents in sober living and outpatient programs to accomplish their goals and reengage in a healthy life.
QUALIFICATIONS Required High School DiplomaEquivalent Current CPR Certification or able to obtain within first days of employment Valid Drivers License Preferred Minimum of oneyear experience working in behavioral health mental illness addiction recovery or related field JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitate community and educational groups Complete charting in residents Electronic Health Record EHR Supervise residents to ensure general safety and enforcement of program rules and guidelines Engage in daily activities with residents Complete daily tracking logs and shift reports to communicate effectively with other treatment team members Monitoring and mentoring residents in recovery process Attend and contribute to all scheduled and routine staff meetings.
Complete all other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Crisis support and intervention General knowledge of addiction recovery and mental illness.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally.
Awareness of others behaviors and actions and the ability to respond in a professional manner.
