Patient Communication explain treatment options and educate on benefits of good dental care and preventive treatments.

Hygiene Seat patients review and update medical history update patient contact information take xrays prophylaxis floss scale ultrasonic preferred patient education intraoral camera photos alginate impressions for diagnostic models bleach trays or night guards learn to used carivu diagnodent etc.
Intraoral photos go a long way in helping the patient understand and appreciate what you are doing in their mouth and why your services are necessary.

Record Keeping Enter treatment provided diagnosed into Dentrix post completed treatment enter clinical notes document pertinent conversations with patients patient concerns etc into clinical notes print prescriptions and record consent forms for treatment if needed.
Cleaning and maintenance Daily weekly and monthly cleaning list treatment room cleaning disinfection instrument disinfection sterilization putting instruments away after sterilization The dental hygienist will be the one of the first impressions new patients have of our practice.
After their initial interactions with the office manager and assistants you will likely be the first person to provide dental care.
Patients and guests will form impressions about the practice and quality of care we provide even before you have touched a scaler to their teeth.
It is important that they feel listened to and appreciated before we rush to tip them back and put dental instruments in their mouth.
